The Omni Mount Washington Resort is a luxury resort hotel in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. Originally constructed between 1900 and 1902, it is a member of the Historic Hotels of America, a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The current facility includes approximately 270 guestrooms and suites, along with extensive amenity spaces.
As part of a 50,000 sf addition project to accommodate a 25,000 sf spa and a 25,000 sf conference center, RFS provided engineering services to assess and upgrade life safety (fire protection, fire alarm, emergency and egress lighting) and select MEP systems throughout the 250,000 sf existing building. RFS assisted in coordinating with local and State Code officials. Our engineering team also worked closely with the architectural and interior design team to integrate infrastructure work within the historic context.
