The Elfers Center for the Arts is a facility for students to come together, collaborate, and create. The project included renovation of an existing 20,000 sf arts wing along with a 3,000 sf recital hall addition. Program components include a 246-seat theater, 125-seat recital hall, arts studio, music practice rooms, and recording studio.
Head-end MEP/FP systems serving the overall building were assessed, and systems for the renovation and addition were carefully integrated. With acoustics being of critical importance for the project program, new air handling units were included and help to address building deferred maintenance.
