The Boothbay Harbor Country Club Spa and Cabana provides personal care and treatment services. The 10,600 sf facility includes a hair and nail salon, massage treatment suites, steam rooms and an infrared sauna. An outdoor pool, jacuzzi, dining area, and firepits are supported by a 2,600 sf kitchen cabana and bar.
MEP/FP systems are coordinated with architectural design to clandestinely integrate form and function. An early design parametric energy model was used to evaluate HVAC system and building envelope options. The HVAC design features de-coupled ventilation and thermal conditioning systems. The lighting design includes daylight harvesting with automated dimming, achieving a lighting power density level approximately 30% below Code-allowed.
