Somerville’s new Assembly Square Fire Station is being constructed as a tenant fit-out which is part of a larger, mixed-use building within a 1,250-car above-ground parking garage. The new fire station will consist of three apparatus bays including turnout and decontamination rooms, a day room, kitchen, fitness room, and individual bunkrooms.
Sustainable design features include air-source heat pumps, an energy recovery system, and red-list-free materials.
