195 Mechanic Street is a four-story, 46,000 sf mixed-use apartment and retail development. The building includes 28 one- and two-bedroom apartment units, and 4,500 sf of commercial space.
Structural design included integration of the building foundation with the sloping site, to enable cost-effective open-air parking under the building. The superstructure included steel and concrete podium with wood frame above. MEP design included all-electric thermal energy systems for building heating and domestic hot water production, or zero on-site fossil fuel usage.
